An entrepreneur at heart, Edwin’s core competency is working with the business owners of small and mid market enterprises in an advisory capacity. With over 25 years of experience to his credit, Edwin is proactive in his identification of client needs and opportunities drawing on his expertise in accounting, assurance, tax and succession planning.

As a Partner with FCR, Kirby manages the complexity of client requirements with a practiced ease and eloquence. The consummate professional, he commits himself to a client centric model of service in which every transaction is planned with the client’s individual best interests in mind.

Kirby shares his time between the Sudbury and Espanola offices lending his management and leadership skills to over 75 accounting professionals. As a Partner, he is extensively involved in the practice management, human resource management and strategic planning of the firm.

Born and raised in Northern Ontario, Kirby understands the importance of communities and managing relationships. He offers his clients progressive, intuitive and goal oriented solutions, the products of a refined expertise that have made him one of FCR’s authorities in accounting and assurance issues.

Ian delivers value to each of the Firm’s clients in a very literal sense. As FCR’s Chartered Business Valuator, he plays an integral role in rounding out many of the Firm’s service offerings.

In addition to his traditional practice in accounting, assurance and taxation, much of Ian’s time goes into ensuring clients receive fair value for the businesses and organizations they have persevered to build.

Ian’s valuation expertise is put to work advising business owners and entrepreneurs on all aspects of corporate sales, mergers, acquisitions, litigation, succession and ownership issues.

As a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) Joel has over a decade of public accounting experience providing financial advisory, corporate taxation, and assurance related services to small and medium enterprises in a variety of industries. To this point his career has developed with a focus on the mining, manufacturing, construction, transportation, and technology and communications sectors.

Joel adds value to the decision making process by helping his clients make informed decisions about their business practices, assisting them to build value while mitigating identified risk. Joel’s clients benefit from expertise in succession and estate planning, financial planning, as well as personal income tax services. Geoff has built his entire career in the accounting and finance industry in the Sudbury area, acquiring a detailed knowledge of the many industries that fuel Northern Ontario economies.

In his capacity as a Principal with Freelandt Caldwell Reilly LLP, Geoff manages the Firm’s Aboriginal client services, bringing over two decades of expertise in providing audit, assurance and other professional services to First Nation communities and organizations.

In addition to these services, Geoffrey also draws on his experience in public practice to offer audit and other professional services to not-for-profit organizations, private sector clients, not-for-profit housing projects, personal and corporate taxation, operating reviews and forensic examinations.

While his strengths lie in a diversity of technical and interactive skills, Corey’s pursuit of information reliability is realized in his role as a Practice Inspector. Licensed through the ICAO, he is responsible for monitoring firms in their quality assurance standards, in addition to his client responsibilities in accounting, assurance, personal/corporate taxation, financing and small business advisory.

Beyond accounting, Corey’s hardworking and resourceful disposition carries well into his passion for family and community involvement. Corey spends time contributing to organizations such as the Sudbury Playground Hockey League, Sudbury Theatre Centre and Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers.

Lisa is a professional who cares about the little things, thoroughly providing consideration to every detail. She uses this skill-set as a Senior Manager with FCR, taking on more of an internal role for the Firm’s teams.

Lisa is responsible for charting and managing all of the Firm’s work-flow, while tracking the progress of file completeness and maintaining all working paper software and templates.

Also lending her skills in a Human Resource capacity, Lisa works with FCR’s new employees, providing orientation and job training. Lisa is also passionate about efficiency, lending any downtime to projects that provide the firm with a competitive advantage through the implementation of new and more efficient software and work processes.

Armed with the understanding of these changes, he works with entrepreneurs and organizational decision makers, identifying opportunities that keep clients goal centric in tumultuous industries. With 15 years of industry experience, Dawn appreciates the workings of small business management. An accounting professional fueled by the entrepreneurial spirit, Ryan Minor joined Freelandt Caldwell Reilly LLP as a Senior Manager after nearly a decade of sole practitioner experience. Known for his dedication to a client centric service model; Ryan recognizes a client’s need for a strong advisory relationship and delivers on the expectations of that need.

Committed to playing an integral role in the decision making processes of owner managed businesses, Ryan believes that the foundational element of any client/advisor relationship is trust. It is his dedication to this belief that sets him apart from other professionals.

Ryan has refined his practice to focus on tax planning for private mid-market enterprises.  Expertise includes personal and corporate tax, estate planning, corporate reorganizations, succession planning and cross border tax advisory.   Ryan has delivered numerous seminars on tax issues and has taught tax and accounting at both university and college.  Ryan was awarded the “40 Under 40” award by Northern Ontario Business, and the “Young Professional of the Year” award by the Young Professionals Association (YPA).

Joining Freelandt Caldwell Reilly in 2007, Natalie manages a variety of small to medium sized clients. Earning a Bachelor of Commerce Degree locally from Laurentian University, Natalie began her career in Sudbury in 1991.

For over two decades, Natalie has remained passionate about helping her clients understand their options, working to resolve their business issues. She is so comfortable in this role that she now serves as a mentor for the Canadian Youth Business Foundation where she advises young entrepreneurs with their business start-ups.

Natalie provides a wide range of services including financial statement preparation, review engagements, corporate and personal taxation and tax planning, computerized bookkeeping and CRA consulting.

Joe is passionate about continued learning. Kevin’s diverse knowledge and experience in tax continues to further strengthen our tax team and firm as a whole.
